The Boys Varsity soccer team will open the first round of The CIF Division 1 Playoff on Friday as they will visit Norte Dame of Sherman Oaks at 3pm. The Lancers second place finishers of the Almont league with a  12-9-2 overall record were placed in the Top division 1 bracket. Norte Dame of Sherman Oaks a private school was the Mission League Champion with a 13-4-4 overall record. This is the first season that Soccer was placed in Division based on prior power rankings and strength of schedule. The Almont league placed three teams BG in Division 1, Montebello in Division 1 hosting Downey in first round and Schurr placed in Division 2 at Riverside Poly.

All students who turned in permission slips please meet in front of the school on Agra Street rain or shine on Saturday , bus pick up will be at 9am.Business Dressy Attire is suggested/required, lunch and dinner will be provided, along with Bus Transportation. The Arsalyn Youth Forum Regional Conference will take place at USC which will begin at 10am and will have four workshops in USC classrooms key note speakers and campus tour.  Community Civics Engagement and Higher Education will be the focus and theme.Event  will end at approximately 730pm, return to BGHS by 830pm pending traffic. Arsalyn Youth Forum Regional event will be attended by Chapters from Bell Gardens, King Drew Medical. Rosemead, San Gabriel, Gabrielino, Mark Keppel, Duarte, Arroyo, South El Monte, El Monte. AYF BG Chapter slots are all taken and full at 45. All AYF events are sponsored and financially sponsored by Arsalyn/Ludwig Foundation. More info see Mr. Lianoz, AYF Chapter Advisor, room 414.

Chicano Studies Class starts today Wednesday, February 15th in room 503  from 3:15-6:15. 

 

Administration of Justice Class will begin on Monday, February 27th at 3:15.
